Sarah Archer (curator)
Sarah Archer is an American writer and curator based in Philadelphia, United States. She is the author of Midcentury Christmas, a book about the material culture of Christmas in the post-war United States published by Countryman Press, and a frequent contributor to Hyperallergic.[1]

Biography
Archer is a graduate of Bard Graduate Center in New York City,[2] she has her MA, 2006, in Decorative Arts, Design History, Material Culture. She left her position as the director of Greenwich House Pottery[3] to join the Philadelphia Art Alliance as senior curator in 2011. Archer previously worked at the Museum of Art and Design MAD [4] in New York City as a curatorial assistant. Her articles and reviews have appeared in Slate,[5] The New Yorker[6] online, The Washington Post,[7] The Journal of Modern Craft,[8] American Craft,[9] Artnet,[10] Ceramics: Art and Perception,[11] Hand/Eye,[12] Modern Magazine[13] and The Huffington Post.[14] She guest-curated Bright Future: New Designs in Glass at the Pratt Manhattan Gallery[15] (February 10 through May 5, 2012).[16]
