The wingspan is 13–14 mm (0.51–0.55 in). The forewings are covered with light-grey black-tipped scales, which are concentrated mainly along the costal margin and in the subapical portion. There are two small black streaks at two-thirds, one more distinct at the corner of the cell and very narrow streak near the apex. The apex has distinct black spots. The hindwings are grey. Adults are on wing in May and July.
Etymology
The species name refers to the distinctive genitalia and external characters of the new species and is derived from Latin distinctus (meaning separate, different).[2]
