History

2020: Debut with Who Dis? and Got That Boom

On December 17, 2019, Vine Entertainment teased the debut of their new girl group. Léa was the first member revealed to be in the group. She is from Japan and was previously a member of K-pop girl group Skarf under the name Hana. The second member revealed was Dita from Indonesia, joining after finishing her studies in New York City. On November 15, 2019, Jinny and Denise were revealed to be the third and fourth members, both Korean-Americans from the United States, followed by Soodam being the last member of the group and only member to be a native of South Korea. After the five members were revealed, the company confirmed they had 100 days until their debut, slated for March 26, 2020.[2] However, on March 12, 2020, Vine Entertainment delayed the group's debut due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3]

On April 29, the agency revealed the new group's name as Secret Number and opened the group's SNS accounts. On May 6, it was revealed in a Naver article that the group would officially debut on May 19 with the single album Who Dis?.[4]

They officially debuted on May 19 and held their debut showcase on the same day.[1]

On October 22, the agency announced that the group would make their comeback with their second single album Got That Boom on November 4.[5]
