Sergei Pavlovich

Sergei Pavlovich (Russian: Сергей Владимирович Павлович) born May 13, 1992, is a Russian mixed martial artist (MMA). He was the formal Fight Nights Global heavyweight champion and currently competes in the Heavyweight division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). As of December 24, 2020, he is #14 in the UFC heavyweight rankings.[3]

Early career

Pavlovich started his professional MMA career since 2014 and he has fought under numerous organizations, notably Fight Nights Global where he was the heavyweight champion twice.[4][5] He amassed of 12-0 prior signed by UFC.[6]

Ultimate Fighting Championship

Pavlovich made his UFC debut on 24 November 2018 at UFC Fight Night 141 against Alistair Overeem.[7] He lost the fight via TKO in the first round.[8]

Pavlovich faced Marcelo Golm on April 20, 2019 at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Oleinik.[9] He won the fight via knockout.[10] This win earned Performance of the Night award.[11]

Pavlovich faced Maurice Greene on October 26, 2019 at UFC on ESPN+ 20.[12] He won the fight via knockout in the first round.[13]

Pavlovich was expected to face Ciryl Gane in August 2020 at UFC Fight Night 174.[14] Pavlovich however had to pull out because of an injury [15]
