Service Credit Union

Service Federal Credit Union (Service Credit Union) is federally chartered and the largest credit union in New Hampshire. It was founded in 1957 as Portsmouth Air Force Base Credit Union, to serve military and civilian employees at Pease Air Force Base; in 1968, it expanded its services to West Germany, opening a branch office for American personnel stationed at Ramstein Air Base. As of Q3 2020, Service Credit Union has over $4.4 billion USD in assets, and more than 315,000 members.[1]

Field of Membership

Service Credit Union's field of membership includes:

  • Active duty military, veterans, and their families
  • Anyone who currently works (or worked) for the Department of Defense (DoD), as well as their families
  • Members of Select Employee Groups (SEGs)
  • Members of the American Consumer Council (ACC)

Size

As of 2019, Service Credit Union has 51 locations (35 in New Hampshire, 1 in Massachusetts, 1 in North Dakota, and 14 on US military installations in Germany). It serves anyone living or working in New Hampshire, four towns in Massachusetts (Falmouth, Bourne, Sandwich, and Mashpee), all veterans of the US Armed Forces (any branch) as well as current or former Department of Defense Employees.[2]
