Shane Burgos
Shane Burgos (born March 19, 1991) is an American professional mixed martial artist currently competing in the Featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Mixed martial arts career
Early career
Burgos began his amateur MMA career in 2010. Before turning pro in 2013, he earned an amateur record of 6 - 0 with one No Contest. Shane currently fights out of the Tiger Schulmanns Mixed Martial Arts school in New Windsor, New York, where he is an Instructor, led by Sensei Jose Montes.
Burgos made his professional MMA debut in July 2013. Over the next two-and-a half years, Burgos amassed a winning record of 7 wins and no defeats; all of his wins have come before the end of the fights' regulated 15 minutes.
Ultimate Fighting Championship
Burgos made his promotional debut on December 9, 2016 at UFC Fight Night 102 against Tiago Trator.[2] He won the fight by unanimous decision.[3]
Burgos' next fight came at UFC 210 against Charles Rosa.[4] He won the fight via TKO in the third round.[5] Both participants were awarded Fight of the Night for their performance.[6]
He then faced Godofredo Pepey on July 22, 2017 at UFC on Fox 25.[7] He won the fight by unanimous decision with scores of 30-26, 30-26, and 29-28.[8]
On January 20, 2018 at UFC 220, Burgos fought Calvin Kattar.[9] He lost the fight via TKO in the third round.[10] Subsequently, both participants were awarded the Fight of the Night bonus. This resulted in Burgos first loss.[11]
Next, Burgos faced Kurt Holobaugh on November 3, 2018 at UFC 230.[12] He won the fight via submission in round one.[13]
Burgos next faced Cub Swanson on May 4, 2019 at UFC Fight Night 151.[14] He won the fight via split decision.[15]
Burgos' next and final fight of his prevailing contract was with Makwan Amirkhani on November 2, 2019 at UFC 244.[16] He won the fight via TKO in the third round.[17]
On March 29, 2020, news surfaced that after entertaining offers from various organizations, Burgos signed a new four-fight contract with the UFC.[18]
Burgos faced Josh Emmett on June 20, 2020 at UFC on ESPN: Blaydes vs. Volkov.[19] He lost the back-and-forth bout via unanimous decision.[20] Subsequently, Burgos earned his third Fight of the Night bonus award.[21]
Burgos was expected to face Hakeem Dawoduon January 24, 2021 at UFC 257.[22] However, Dawodu was forced to withdraw from the bout, citing shoulder injury. It is unclear at the present if a replacement will be sought by UFC officials.[23]
