Sharon Ezeamaka

Sharon Chisom Ezeamaka (born 24 October 1992), is a Nigerian actress[1] and a feminist.[2] Started as a child artist, she is best known for the roles in the popular television serials Shuga, Kala & Jamal and Dorathy My Love.[3] Apart from acting, she is also a producer, model and television personality.[4]

Personal life

She was born on 24 October 1992 in Lagos, Nigeria. She completed education in Lagos State of South Western Nigeria,[4] and obtained her First School leaving certificate and West African Senior School certificate. Her younger sister, Thelma Ezeamaka is also a child artist in Nigeria.[1]

Career

She started acting career at the age of five as a child actress, where she appeared in the Nollywood film Narrow Escape. In the movie, she starred alongside popular Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie. Then in 2000, she acted in the tragic thriller film Dear Mother, which made her much more popular in Nollywood cinema. She later won the award for the Best Kid Actress at the Africa Movie Academy Awards for her role in that film.[4][3]

At teen age, she appeared in several home movies such as; Burning Desire, Dorathy My Love and Secrets of the Night. Then in 2016, played the role 'Bolade' in the television serial Kala & Jamal. Meanwhile, in 2013, she was selected for the role 'Princess' in the television serial Shuga. She continued to play the role until 2018, with large popularity. She has also acted in the serials: Tha Johnson and High School Musical Nigeria.[4][3] She has also nominated for the Award for the Most Promising Nigerian Actress at Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards as well as nominated for the Award for the Best New Act to Watch at City People Entertainment Awards.[1]
