Organization
The Shelby County Sheriff's Office is commanded by the Sheriff of Shelby County, who is elected once every four years. The sheriff is assisted in the day-to-day operations by the chief deputy, with assistant chief deputies assigned to the Law Enforcement and Jail Divisions.
