Social media censorship controversy

Social media companies have come under controversy for restricting content, suspending, deleting, or monitoring user activity. Many major social media companies, which are considered big tech, have been criticized for possible bias against political conservatives. This criticism was increased following the suspension of several conservative politicians and speakers, most notably then-U.S. President Donald Trump.[1][2] This controversy increased, according to journalist Glenn Greenwald, after the big tech giants Amazon, Apple and Google, among others, denied their services to the mobile application Parler, determining who can or cannot have a voice in the internet.[3]
