Sonia Ben Ammar

Sonia Ben Ammar (born 19 February 1999 in Paris)[2] is a French-Tunisian model, actress and singer, who is currently signed with IMG Models. In November 2019, she released her debut EP SONIA.[3]

Life and career

Ben Ammar is the daughter of film producer Tarak Ben Ammar and actress Beata Ben Ammar.[1] She is half Polish, half Tunisian.[4] Her Tunisian-born father is Muslim.[5] She graduated from the American School of Paris and started attending the University of Southern California in fall 2017.[6]

In 2012, Ben Ammar had a role in the stage musical 1789: Les Amants de la Bastille.[7] In 2013, she made her acting debut appearing in the film Jappeloup. In 2016, she signed with IMG Models and has since modeled for Dolce & Gabbana, Miu Miu, Carolina Herrera, Topshop, Nina Ricci and Chanel.[8][9][10][11] She has also appeared in magazines such as Vanity Fair, Harper's Bazaar Arabia, Love, and L'Officiel.[6][10]

In 2019, Ben Ammar had her musical debut with the music video "Joyride", which premiered on Billboard in September 2019.[12] In the same year, she released her self-titled debut EP SONIA. In September 2020, Ben Ammar was cast in an undisclosed role on the fifth Scream film, which was directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.[13][14] The film will be released on January 14, 2022.[15][16]
