Sophie Buhai
Sophie Buhai is an LA based jewelry designer with an eponymous brand founded in 2015[1] and a former co-creative director of womenswear brand Vena Cava.[2]

Personal life
Buhai gave birth to her first child, a daughter, in 2016.[3] She lives in Malibu, California in a 1950s beach bungalow.[4]

Buhai is a graduate of Parsons School of Design.[5]
Career
Buhai was co-creative director of the New York based womenswear brand Vena Cava, started in 2004 with her college friend Lisa Mayock. Vena Cava was a runner up for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund in 2008 but then closed its doors in 2014. In 2015, Buhai went on to found her own LA based jewellery studio[6] after a residency at Villa Lena in Tuscany, where she dabbled in jewelry making.[7] Buhai went on to collaborate with Ready-to-wear brand Lemaire.[8]
