Souleymane Sylla (actor)

Souleymane Sylla, is a Guinean-born Italian actor and filmmaker.[1] He is best known for his roles in the films Les princes de la ville, Shiny Happy People and Tolo Tolo.[2][3]

He was born in Guinea and later moved to Italy.

Career

In 2014, he directed his maiden short film Les princes de la ville. In the same year, he made appearances in three short films: Anthropologie d'un homme moderne, Règlement de conte and Couper le voile, in which he played major roles. After several award-winning critically acclaimed short film appearances, Sylla made his maiden television appearance with the TV movie Penthesilea. In the movie, he played the role of 'Latif'. In 2020, he starred in the Italian comedy film Tolo Tolo with the role 'Oumar'.[4] The film became a blockbuster with a record breaking first day gross of €8.7 million.[5]
