Early life

Schaible grew up in Nagold southwest of Stuttgart. After graduating from high school, he studied chemistry and law at the University of Konstanz.

Career

Schaible began his professional career in 1997 at the management consultancy Roland Berger. After four years, he was elected partner. As a specialist in consulting for the public sector, large infrastructure projects, and the energy and environmental sector, he took over as head of the Competence Center for Civil Economics. In this capacity, he advised authorities such as the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees and the Federal Employment Agency.[4] He also became a member of Roland Berger's global management board.[5]

In 2014, Schaible took over as head of business in Germany and Central Europe.[6] When Charles-Édouard Bouée took office, he also rose to the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Roland Berger at the international level.[7] In this position, he pushed ahead with the restructuring of the management consultancy after the Partners had finally decided to become independent.[8][9] Under Schaibel's leadership, Roland Berger achieved double-digit growth rates and developed successfully in the domestic market.[10]

In 2018, Schaible was re-elected by the Partners as deputy chief executive officer.[11] Following the retirement of Charles-Édouard Bouée in 2019, he moved to the position of Global Managing Director.[12] He was part of a five-member management team that initially headed the consultancy on a transitional basis.[13] In 2020, the partners elected a new three-member board of directors, with Schaible as its spokesman.[14] In addition to this role as Global Managing Partner, Schaible is responsible for Roland Berger's digital businesses.[15]
