In East Flanders, the voluntary association, Ghent Students Rowing, built a network within the Ghent University. They introduced many Erasmus students to rowing and cooperated well with the Dutch Federation, with support from the European Union and Benelux.
They were established in 2004 at the Royal Club Nautical de Gand with the Akhenaton Rowing School Foundation's support. There are still regular extra-sporting activities at S.R.G. at Club de Gand. Another host club and sponsor today is the Veterans Rowers Association.
Royal Club Nautique de Gand
The Royal Club Nautique De Gand has been offering rowing activities to students since 1961.
