Svend Erik Christensen

Svend Erik Kehler Christensen known as Svend Erik Christensen (born 17 March 1949 in Stenstrup, Denmark) was a Danish international football referee and midfielder.[1]

Player career

He played 4 friendly matches for Denmark national football team in 1975-77[2] and scored a goal in 1977 friendly match in Kaolack against Senegal in 3rd minute and Denmark won it by 3:2.[3] Two matches of them that participated in Denmark were Nordic Football Championship in 1975 and 1977.

He was player of some Danish football clubs. S. Christensen played 100 matches for Nyborg G&I in 1968-71 and 220 matches for Næstved IF 1971-82.[4]

Referee career

He was member of FIFA in 1991-94 and officiated an international match[5] that was EURO 1996 qualifying match Germany-Moldova (2:1).[6] In this match he appinted a penalty kick against Albania and Lothar Matthäus converted it in 8th minute.

In club football he officiated 2 UEFA Cup matches.[7] He refereed 91 Danish Superliga matches in 1991-1997.
