The sound patterns on which Malayalam poetry functions is moulded in the poetry of Syam Sudhakar.[1] The visual media culture is reflected in his poetry.[2] K. Satchidanandan notes that his poems revel in linguistic play.[3] He points out that it is difficult to narrow in on a particular theme or story in his poems.[4]
