Tariq Javed (Engineer)
Tariq Javed (Sitara-e-Eisar)[1] ( Urdu: طارق جاوید ) is the head of the Pakistan Innovation & Testing Centre (PITC),[2] under the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). He was previously a serving Brigadier in the Pakistan Army corps of Electrical and Mechanical engineers, where he was the commandant of the College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (a constituent college of NUST) (2016 to 2019).[3]

Career
Javed served as the commandant of college of electrical and mechanical engineering from 2016 to 2020.[4] During his tenure, an incubation center was raised on campus called EME Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.[3]
As of 2021, he heads the Pakistan Innovation & Testing Centre (PITC) under the Pakistan Engineering Council. PITC has undertaken many initiatives to promote development of indigenous ventilators in Pakistan during the COVID-19 pandemic.[5]
