Tarlupadu
Tarlupadu is a village in Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh. It is a Gram Panchayat and also a Mandal Head Quarter. The total population of this village is around 5,000. The revenue division is Kandukur and Sub-Division is Podili. It falls into Markapuram Assembly constituency. Previously it used to be under Cumbum Assembly constituency which is been removed in the process of delimitation of Assembly constituencies in 2009.

Being a Mandal Head Quarter, it hosts all the offices of government bodies like MRO, MEO, MDO, PHC etc.
This Village is mostly a agricultural dependent village. Most of the villagers are into agriculture despite a few grocery stores, Fancy stores, Electric and plumbing stores. Mostly grown crops here are Bengal Gram, Toor Dal, Cotton, Tobacco, Mirchi, Millets. It was known for its trade decades ago. Because of that, it also has been named as 'Chinna Guntur'.
The village has five schools: ZP High School, Upper Primary School, Elementary School, Urdu School and Missionary High School called Luthern High School.
The Village has good number of Temples too. There are almost eight temples, two churches and one mosque. The Temples are:

Every year the village hosts many devotional events like Bramhotsavams, Aradhana, Pallaki Seva, Sree Rama Kalyanam, etc. Sree Venugopala Swamy Bramhotsavams will be held for 11 days every year in the months of Feb or March. This is one of the biggest events happen in the village. This temple also has a great history as the 'PRATHISHTA' was done by the JANAMEJAYA MAHARAJU (The great grandson of ARJUNA from Mahabharatha).

Sri Shirdi Sai Mandiram Tarlupadu has been planed under the great auspicious blessings of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba . Mr. M. Nagamallikarjun , Retirted Tahsildar who also worked as Tahsildar in Tarlupadu and Chairman of the Mandiram with the help of the devotees get constructed the Mandiram and the following vigrahas have been made prathista on 25-05-2019 , Saturday, ie., Vikari nama samvatshara, Vishakha Bahula Sapthami with the grace of Bhagavan Sri Sri Sri Viswayogi Viswamji Maharaj Varu. 1. Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, 2. Sri Ganesh, 3. Sri Lakshmi Devi, 4. Sri Srisaila Mallikarjuna Lingam, 5. Sri Dattatreya Swamy , 6. Sri Anjaneya Swamy. Dhuni was also constructed .
