Tarnol, Islamabad
Tarnol is a small town located about three miles north-west of Islamabad.
The primary language of the area is Punjabi. Most residents work in the heavy machinery and stone crushing trades, and some commute to Islamabad or Rawalpindi. The town sits 549 m (1,801') above sea level. Tarnol is part of UC 54, Local MNA is from PTI.[1] It's a little backward area as compare to Islamabad, being part of Capital Islamabad Tarnol still don't have back needs of daily life, like health, road, gas etc. However, infrastructure is being developed.
This area has now started to get strategic importance due to its location as it is near the new Islamabad International Airport which is bringing investment to the area.
