Genera

Genera within the family Terebrellidae include:

  • Terebrella Andreae, 1887[3] is the type genus of the family Terebrellidae, it is a junior homonym of Terebrella Maltzan, 1886.[2][4]
  • Trypetes Tomlin, 1929[5] is a nomen novum for Terebrella Andreae, 1887. Trypetes Tomlin, 1929 is also a homonym, so another nomen novum has been established: Diatrypesis Tomlin, 1929[6] is a nomen novum for Trypetes Tomlin, 1929.
  • Kaim (2004) classified the genus Diatrypesis in an uncertain family within the Cerithioidea.[7]
  • Diatrypesis guerrei (Hébert et Eudes-Deslongchamps, 1860)[7]
  • Diatrypesis kurushini Kaim, 2004[7]
  • Diatrypesis newelli
