Thaspium

Thaspium is a genus of flowering plants in the Apiaceae (parsley or carrot family). A common name for the various Thaspium species is meadowparsnip[2] or meadow-parsip.

There are five accepted Thaspium species and one accepted variety:[1]

  • Thaspium barbinode (Michx.) Nutt. – hairyjoint meadowparsnip[3]
  • Thaspium chapmanii (J.M. Coult. & Rose) Small – hairy meadow-parsnip[4]

  • Thaspium pinnatifidum (Buckley) A. Gray – cutleaf meadowparsnip[6]
Basionym: Zizia pinnatifida Buckley

Variety: Thaspium trifoliatum var. aureum (Nutt.) Britton
