The Mall Group

The Mall Group (Thai: เดอะมอลล์กรุ๊ป) is one of Thailand's largest mall operators. Its brands include The Mall, Emporium, Siam Paragon, Power Mall, Gourmet Market, The Mall SkyPORT, EmQuartier, SportsMall, BeTrend, and BLÚPORT.[2]

It is a private company and a subsidiary of Lukrak Supachai Company Limited.[1] The current chairwoman is Supaluck Umpujh.[3][4] As of 2018 it has 13,000 employees.[5]

History

The Mall Group opened its first retail store on 25 June 1981 on Ratchadamri Road in Bangkok. At the time it had 400 employees.[5]

  • The Mall Bang Khae - landmark is a large artificial waterfall and a pond houses many large arapaimas.
  • The Mall Bangkapi - the first arowana contest in Thailand was held in mid-2001.
