The Metamorphosis of Birds
The Metamorphosis of Birds is a Portuguese feature-length hybrid creative documentary film directed by Catarina Vasconcelos and produced by the production company Primeira Idade, world premiered at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival in February 2020,[1] where it was awarded the FIPRESCI Award for Best Film at the Encounters Section.[2]

The film was financed by the Portuguese film fund Instituto do Cinema e do Audiovisual and by Portugal's state broadcaster RTP and developed at the Archidoc writing program of the French film school La Fémis and the Arché development workshop promoted at the Doclisboa international documentary film festival.
