The People Next Door (1968 film)

The People Next Door is a 1968 American television play that was broadcast as part of the CBS Playhouse series. A drama about a family dealing with the drug addiction of their daughter, it was written by J. P. Miller and won three Emmy awards for camerawork, best director, and best writer; as well as a nomination for Best Dramatic Program.[1]

The teleplay was later refilmed in 1970 as The People Next Door, with many of the actors from the teleplay reprising their roles for the theatrical release.
