Theodore Robert Dudley

Theodore (`Ted') Robert Dudley (19361994) was an American botanist, who died prematurely of a brain tumour.

Education & Career

He attended the University of Edinburgh, where he obtained a PhD with the thesis "Taxonomic studies in the Cruciferae of the Near East".[1] Worked at the Arnold Arboretum at Harvard University, from 1956.

Collections

Part of his collections are housed the University of Reading Herbarium. He collected widely in Argentina, and the Antarctic,[2] and also Turkey, Greece, Peru, Korea, China.
