Thierry Carré

Thierry Carré (18 April 1941 – unknown) was a French professional footballer who played as a forward.[3]

Career

Carré began his career as a footballer at Stade Saint-Germain, the club that eventually merged with Paris FC to create Paris Saint-Germain. Despite being in the third tier of French football, the club managed to make the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France in 1968–69, but lost to Olympique de Marseille.[4] Carré made a total of 8 appearances and scored 4 goals in this edition of the Coupe de France.

After one season with Saint-Cyr, Carré joined newly formed Paris Saint-Germain in 1970. He made his debut for the club on 13 December 1970 in a 1–0 cup win against AS Étaples.[5] Carré's final match for PSG was a 0–0 league draw against Limoges on 9 May 1971.[6]

Carré joined Amiens in 1972, and later went on to play with amateurs in Mantes-la-Jolie. He retired from football in 1973, at the age of 32.
