Tien Cailian

Tien Cailian also written as Tien Tsjai Lien (born 1950) is a Chinese former long track speed skater, who was active in the 1970s.[1]

After having for 5 years no Chinese speed skaters at the World Championships, Tien Cailian represented China at the World Sprint Speed Skating Championships for Women in 1972 in Eskilstuna (Sweden) together with Yingshu Piao and a few weeks later at the 1972 World Allround Speed Skating Championships for women in Heerenveen (the Netherlands) together with skater Jiang Youfeng. It was also evident from the a Dutch newspaper report, that their participation was remarkable.[2] At these championships there was also a Chinese Chargé d'affaires, La Mao, to see the women's compete. Tien Cailian finished 25th overall at the sprint championships and 29th overall at the allround championships.[3]
