Tony Xu

Tony Xu, born 1985 as Xu Xun (Chinese: 徐迅),[3] is a Chinese-American billionaire businessman. He is the co-founder and CEO of DoorDash.[4] He co-founded the company with Evan Moore, Andy Fang and Stanley Tang in 2013.[5][6] Xu has previously worked for Square, eBay and McKinsey.[7]

DoorDash had its IPO in December 2020[8][9] making Xu's net worth an estimated $3.1 billion as of December 2020.[4]

Early life and education

Xu was born in Nanjing, China, later migrating with his parents to the United States. He has a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.[10] He grew up working in his mom’s restaurant washing dishes where he found the inspiration for a delivery service.[11][12]
