General Description

The Tumurun Private Museum, which doesn't have a signboard, looks like a large house or a factory when it is seen from the outside. This museum has white walls and fence which is often used as sign of modernity. Thus, the visitors will experience the impression of modernity throughout the museum design. A good exposure of light and harmonious background music amplifies the modern nuance of this place as well. The museum also provides Air Conditioners. Everyone may visit this museum, but there are a number of requirements that must be obeyed before visiting.[2]

Collection

  • "Badman and Superbad", a painting by Heri Dono (58) made in 2003. It is quite large, which is 286 X 340 cm. By this work, Heri tries to convey his criticism that the war between the United States and Iraq was aimed at controlled the supply of Iraq crude oil and other political interests. The conspiracy theory about radicalism and the destruction of mass weapons devastation as the war reasons is only hoax because they are not proven to be true.[3]
  • The museum displays not only local artworks but also international collections, Japan for instance, as well as from Philippines, Singapore and American.[4]
