Umrala

Umrala is a town and tehsil in the Bhavnagar district of Gujarat state[1][2] in India which falls in the Saurashtra region.[3] Umrala has the highest population of Koli caste which belong to the Other Backward Classes.[4] The city was founded by the Koli king Uma Koli (Umo Kagadia) of the Kagadia dynasty and the city was named Umrala after him.[5][6]

The town of Umrala has a long history. The city was ruled by the Kolis but later Mokhadji conquered Umrala from the Kolis and made it his capital.
