Vernon Griffiths

Thomas Vernon Griffiths OBE (22 June 189423 November 1985) was a New Zealand music teacher and lecturer, composer. He was born in West Kirby, Cheshire, England, on 22 June 1894.[1]

In 1963 he composed the 4 page organ score Meditation on Maria zu lieben for organ which was published a year later by Novello and Company Limited (Plate No. 19345) under their No. 338 of Original Compositions (New Series).

In the 1957 Queen's Birthday Honours, Griffiths was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire.[2]
