Vijay Kumar Aggarwal is a criminal lawyer[1] in Courts of India. He is well known for handling 2G spectrum scam case[2] and $2 billion Punjab National Bank Fraud Case, 2018.[3][4]

Early Life & Career

Vijay Kumar Aggarwal was born on 1969 in Delhi. He has done his BCom. Hons from Hansraj College of Delhi University and then has done I.C.W.A, FCA and LLB. Aggarwal has been practicing in the courts of India, Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court and other high courts since 2000. In one PIL filed by Vijay Aggarwal, Delhi High Court has held that all accused persons who are being prosecuted for offences punishable up to 7 years and have been in prison for more than one year should be released immediately on bail and accordingly four hundred and twenty people were immediately released.

He is also a member of the Indian Supreme Court Bar Association.[5]

Controversy

In 2011 The Bar Council of Delhi found Aggarwal in two professions chartered accountancy and advocacy simultaneously. However, Aggarwal denied the charge and said though he has a chartered accountant's degree but only involved in the profession of law.[18]
