Viktor Simov
Viktor Andreievich Simov (1858–1935) was a Russian painter and scenographer who pioneered the use of Naturalistic settings.[1]
After having worked for Savva Mamontov's Private Opera Theatre, Simov became the principal designer of Constantin Stanislavski and Vladimir Nemirovich's newly formed Moscow Art Theatre on 1 May 1898.[2] Simov first met Stanislavski in autumn 1896.[2]
