Where's Walter

Where's Walter is an online video series by Drake Bell created as a continuation of Drake & Josh, which was created by Dan Schneider. The series follows Drake Parker (Drake Bell) after Walter Nichols (Jonathan Goldstein) escaped from the Drake & Josh set into the real world. Viewers were encouraged to share any information they found by using the hashtag #WheresWalter on social networks. Although it shares the same characters and settings of Drake & Josh, there is no confirmed involvement of Dan Schneider, original series creator and executive producer.

It is later revealed that Walter saw Audrey Parker-Nichols (Nancy Sullivan) having lunch with Bruce Winchill, Walter's rival weatherman, in a San Diego park. Out of anger, he punches out a wall in his room, revealing that it's actually a set piece in the Nickelodeon studios. He runs away quickly, and accidentally bumps into Devon Werkheiser, who mistakes him for Johnathan Goldstein. On the streets of Los Angeles, Craig & Eric kidnap Walter and take him to their real world hideout. Eric takes his phone and places it into a microwave oven before they talk to him. He explains that OmniCorp, a multi-conglomerate who owns all the networks and studios, cloned Hollywood actors to be used in their shows. He then compares the likenesses of Eric & Scott Halberstadt, Craig & Alec Medlock, Helen & Yvette Nicole Brown, and Walter & Johnathan Goldstein, much to his surprise. They warn him to go back, because it would be a better life to live in than in the real world, but Walter storms out of the hideout.[1]

Sometime after these events, Drake Parker posted some videos containing cell phone footage of Walter in a poncho rummaging through trash, stealing food, and sleeping on the ground.[2] For the effort, Helen (Yvette Nicole Brown), Audrey Parker-Nichols (Nancy Sullivan), Lenny Spodnick the Foam Finger Guy (Fred Stoller), fans from "South Amereeka", and Josh Sussman posted videos and handed out flyers to help.[3][4][5][6][7] In one instance, Drake and Carly are walking in the city and see a poster for The Great Doheny (Steve Tom), a magician that Josh likes. After the show, they ask him to use his magic to bring back Walter. He is unsuccessful, instead bringing back Gustavo Rocque (Stephen Kramer Glickman), Prompting Drake to whisper "Wrong Show", and Clayton (Josh Sussman), but he also makes his clothes disappear. Later, he tries again, and as Walter is rummaging through a trash can, he happens to make his head bald.[8]

After this, it is shown that an OmniCorp agent has been tracking and following Walter. He escapes, and accidentally finds Johnathan Goldstein - to whom he says that he knows everything and that OmniCorp will never find him. This surprises Johnathan, and Walter runs off.[9]
