Wouter Van Lierde

Wouter Van Lierde (July 19, 1963 – August 4, 2020)[1] was a Belgian stage and television actor.

Born in Uccle, he studied at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Ghent. Van Lierde was a member at Theater Malpertuis and after 2001 at Publiekstheater. He had several important roles in several plays. Together with Rik Tans they performed under the name De Schedelgeboorten as a cabaret group.

As a television actor he had several guest roles in several series. In the first season of Flikken he played guest role Ivan. In the sixth season of the same series he had a bigger role as serial killer Luc Feiremans. He also had guest roles in among others F.C. De Kampioenen (2008, 2009 and 2010) as inspector Jos, in Recht op Recht (2000), in the fiction series Goesting (2010) and in Witse (2010). In 2015 he played in Thuis as private detective Thomas Smith.

Van Lierde was the brother of Thuis-actress Monika Van Lierde.

Van Lierde died after a long illness in Uccle on 4 August 2020.[2]
