You Can't Walk Away from Love

"You Can't Walk Away from Love" is a 2001 song by American-Cuban singer Gloria Estefan. It was released as the first single on February 10, 2001 by Epic Records from her third compilation album, Greatest Hits Vol. II. It was only released as a promotional single. The song featured on the film, Original Sin starring Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas. The music video made for this song, featured Gloria singing with a background of scenes of the movie. The song received various reviews and its light success was shown when it reached the position number seventy five at the Billboard Hot 100 chart based solely on radio Airplay, and also reached number twenty-two at the Adult Contemporary chart. The promotional single was also sent to Mexican radio-stations, but the song never made any records on the chart.

Critical reception

AllMusic editor Jose F. Promis described the song as a "dramatic, sweeping, Middle Eastern-tinged ballad" and wrote that it ranks among Estefan's best songs.[1] Jeremy Griffin from The Ithacan noted it as "haunting", adding that it "showcases her flare for the dramatic ballad".[2]
