Yungas sparrow

The Yungas sparrow (Rhynchospiza dabbenei) is a species of bird in the family Passerellidae endemic to the Yungas region of northwestern Argentina, where it is a year-round resident. It was formerly considered a subspecies of the Chaco sparrow (R. strigiceps) and some authorities such as the Clements Checklist and Birdlife International consider it as such, but a 2019 study affirmed it as a distinct species, and other authorities such as Avibase, the American Ornithological Society, and the International Ornithological Congress consider it as such.[1][2][3]
