Zenith Gallery is an arts gallery in Washington, DC.

History

The gallery was established in 1978[1][2][3] by artist and former Washington, D.C. Art Commissioner[4][5] Margery E. Goldberg.[1][3] Since its beginning, the gallery has relocated several times[6][7] and it is currently located at 1429 Iris Street NW, Washington DC.[1][3] Goldberg also programs art for the lobby at 1111 Pennsylvania Ave. NW.[8][9] The gallery is one of the oldest continuously operating galleries in the city[10] and was honored in 2018 by the Council of the District of Columbia in a ceremony in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the gallery,[11] and in "recognition for its contributions to the District of Columbia and the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area."[12]

Zenith Gallery represents both regional, national and international artists, including Robert Freeman, Anne Marchand,[13] Bradley Stevens,[14] Curtis Woody,[15] Christopher Malone,[16] Stephen Hansen,[17] Alan Binstock, Beatriz Blanco, Renee duRocher, Joel D'Orazio, Joan Konkel, Donna McCullough, Davis Morton, Paula Stern, Erwin Timmers, Paul Martin Wolff, and others.
