Zhangzha Town

Zhangzha Town (Chinese: 漳扎镇; pinyin: Zhāngzhā Zhèn), formerly Jiuzhaigou Town (Chinese: 九寨沟镇),[1] is a township-level division under Jiuzhaigou County, Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China,[2] with an area of 1,305.92 square kilometres and a population of 6,000 as of 2017.[3]

Jiuzhaigou Earthquake

On Aug 8, 2017, Zhangzha Town was the epicenter of the earthquake, causing severe power failure in Jiuzhaigou County[5] and damages to the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area.[6]
