Collingham railway station

Collingham railway station is located in the village of Collingham, Nottinghamshire, England, situated on the Nottingham to Lincoln Line. It is owned by Network Rail and managed by East Midlands Railway, which provide all services.

Trains are frequent throughout the day and, according to local media, it is the second most-used station on the Nottingham-Lincoln line, after Newark Castle.[1] In December 2008, the station had its most frequent service ever.[2]

Facilities

The station is unstaffed and facilities are limited. The station has a shelter on each platform as well modern help points and bicycle storage. The station has no ticket machines and the full range of tickets can be purchased from the guard onboard the train.

The station also has a large 58 space car park which opened in May 2014 to help boost passenger numbers at the station.[3]

Step-free access is available to both the platforms at Collingham.[4]

Services

Off-peak, all services at Collingham are operated by East Midlands Railway using Class 153 and Class 156 DMUs.

There is also a daily return service between Lincoln and London St Pancras International which is operated by a Class 222 Meridian as well as one late evening train which continues beyond Grimsby Town to Cleethorpes.

On Sundays, there is a roughly hourly service between Lincoln and Nottingham (with no service to Leicester) and there are also three trains per day between Newark and Cleethorpes during the summer months only.
