Öz achieved her first professional title in the singles event at the ITF tournament held at Manavgat, Turkey in 2017 defeating her Czech, Belgian, Brazilian and Italian opponents, and winning over Ilona Georgiana Ghioroaie from Romania in the final 6–3, 6–2.[1]

She has a career-high WTA singles ranking of 601, achieved on 8 October 2018. On 24 September 2018, she peaked at No. 415 in the doubles rankings.

Öz made her WTA main-draw debut at the 2018 İstanbul Cup, where she received a wild card into the singles draw, and in the doubles main draw, partnering Melis Sezer.[2]

She took part at the 2018 Mediterranean Games in Tarragona, Spain, and won the gold medal for Turkey in the doubles event with her teammate Başak Eraydın.[3][4]
