Łysomice, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship

Łysomice [wɨsɔˈmit͡sɛ] is a village in Toruń County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland.[1] It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Łysomice. It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) north of Toruń.

The village in Kulmerland, Prussia, was in 1414 recorded as Poszemsdorff, also Pozensdorf (1414), Posemannsdorf (1429), Posmeszdorf (1438), Posemsdorf (1447/1448), Pozensdorff (1454), Pozendorf alias Lysomicze (1457), Lysomic deutsch Posmendorff (1558), Lysomice (1667) and Lissomitz (1730). It had Kulm Law and belonged to the city of Thorn (Torun).

Todays village has a population of 1,100.
