1941 Northern Illinois State Huskies football team
The 1941 Northern Illinois State Huskies football team was an American football team that represented Northern Illinois State Teachers College (later renamed Northern Illinois University) as a member of the Illinois Intercollegiate Athletic Conference during the 1941 college football season. Led by 13th-year head coach Chick Evans, the Huskies compiled a 7–1–1 record (3–1 against IIAC opponents), tied with Illinois State for the IIAC championship, and outscored their opponents by a total of 166 to 44.[1] They played their home games at the 5,500-seat Glidden Field, located on the east end of campus in DeKalb, Illinois.
