The 1968 Long Beach State 49ers football team represented California State College, Long Beach[note 1] during the 1968 NCAA College Division football season. The 49ers competed in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).

The team was led by head coach Don Reed, in his eleventh (and last) year, and played home games at Veterans Stadium adjacent to the campus of Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California.
