1992 Cal State Hayward Pioneers football team
The 1992 Cal State Hayward Pioneers football team represented California State University, Hayward[note 1] in the 1992 NCAA Division II football season. Cal State Hayward competed in the Northern California Athletic Conference (NCAC).

The Pioneers were led by head coach Tim Tierney in his 18th year. They played home games at Pioneer Stadium in Hayward, California. The Pioneers finished the season with a record of five wins and five losses (5–5, 3–2 NCAC). This was the first time the team hadn't had a losing season since 1986. The Pioneers were outscored by their opponents 227–246 for the 1992 season.

- The official name of Cal Poly has been California Polytechnic State University since 1947. However, it is more commonly known as either Cal Poly San Luis Obispo or just Cal Poly.
- The official name of Chico State has been California State University, Chico since 1972. However, it is still commonly known as Chico State.
- Seawolf Stadium was known as Cossacks Stadium until 2002 when the University changed the mascot from Cossacks to Seawolves.
