2020 Hampton Pirates football team

The 2020 Hampton Pirates football team will represent Hampton University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They will be led by third-year head coach Robert Prunty and play their home games at Armstrong Stadium. They will be second-year members of the Big South Conference.

On July 14, 2020, Hampton announced that it would cancel fall sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the possibility of playing fall sports in the spring.[1] The schedule below is as it appeared at the time of the cancellation.

Previous season

The Pirates finished the 2019 season 5–7, 1–5 in Big South play to finish in a three-way tie for fifth place.

Hampton's schedule was announced on February 4, 2020. The schedule release included ten of the eleven games the Pirates will play in 2020, along with a note stating that Hampton will be "announcing an additional game at a later date."[2]
