Note: † Due to COVID-19, Boston College has suspended the 2020 men's soccer season.

The teams' 2020 season was significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, which curtailed the fall season and caused the NCAA Tournament to be played in Spring 2021. The ACC was one of the only two conferences in men's soccer to play in the fall of 2020. The ACC also held a mini-season during the spring of 2021.

Background

The 2019 Syracuse men's soccer team finished the season with a 8–7–5 overall record and a 2–4–2 ACC record. The Orange were seeded tenth–overall in the 2018 ACC Men's Soccer Tournament, where they defeated North Carolina in the first round, before losing to eventual champions Virginia in the second round. The Orange earned an at-large bid to the 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament. In the tournament, the Orange defeated Rhode Island in the first round before losing to St. John's in the second round.

At the end of the 2018-19 season, two Orange men's soccer players were selected in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft: Ryan Raposo and Nyal Higgins.[2]
