2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup
The 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup will be the 19th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, the biennial international men's youth football championship contested by the under-17 national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It will be hosted by Peru.[1]

Brazil are the defending champions.
Peru was originally due to host the tournament in 2021 but the COVID-19 pandemic forced FIFA to cancel the tournament and award the 2023 hosting rights to the country on 24 December 2020.[2]
Host selection
Peru were announced as the 2021 U-17 World Cup hosts following the FIFA Council meeting on 24 October 2019 in Shanghai, China.[1] They were also one of the bidders to host the 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which was awarded to Indonesia on the same day in exchange for Peru's right to host the U-17 competition.[3]
Peru had previously hosted the tournament in 2005. They were also initially awarded hosting rights of the previous edition in 2019, but were stripped by FIFA in February 2019 after inspection of their facilities.[4]

Peru will prepare 6 cities and stadiums.
