50th Baeksang Arts Awards

The 50th Baeksang Arts Awards (Korean: 제50회 백상예술대상) ceremony, presented by the Ilgan Sports, took place on May 27, 2014, at Grand Peace Hall, Kyung Hee University, Seoul, beginning at 6:20 p.m. Korean Standard Time. The ceremony, televised in South Korea by JTBC, was hosted by comedian Shin Dong-yup and actress Kim Ah-joong.[1]

The nominees for the 50th Baeksang Arts Awards were announced on April 27, 2014, through its official website.[2] The Attorney led the film-related categories with seven nominations and Reply 1994 led the television-related categories with nine nominations.[note 1] The highest honors of the night, Grand Prize (Daesang), were awarded to Song Kang-ho for The Attorney in film division and Jun Ji-hyun for My Love from the Star in television division.[3] The Attorney and My Love from the Star were the most winning work at the ceremony with three awards each.[4] Kim Soo-hyun was the most awarded individual at the award show; he won Best New Actor (Film) and Most Popular Actor (Film) for Secretly, Greatly and Most Popular Actor (TV) for My Love from the Star.[5]
