7Senses

7Senses (in Chinese 七朵组合, often stylised as Sen7es or 7SENSES) is a sub-unit of the Chinese girl group SNH48[1] and its first global unit. 7Senses was formed in 2011, consisting of seven members. The group debuted on June 28, 2012. Their first album "Yong Chun" was released in August 2012. A dance practice video for its title track "Yong Chun" went viral on Chinese social media, garnering a huge boost in popularity.[2] In May 2014 it was announced that some of the members would temporarily leave the group and 7Senses was officially disbanded afterwards.

On April 11, 2015, the second generation made their debut at the The 3rd V Chart Awards ceremony[3] and performed several new songs. The group disbanded less than a year later after performing their final concert in Nantong, China in January, 2016.

The third generation[4] of 7Senses debuted on the 24th ERC Chinese Top Ten Awards on March 27, 2017 in Shanghai, China with new song “Girl Crush” and their debut showcase on April 7, 2017 at the Mixing Room, Shanghai. The third generation of 7Senses is made up of 5 members: Zhao Yue (Akira), Kong Xiaoyin (Bee), Dai Meng (Diamond), Xu-Yang Yuzhuo (Eliwa), Xu Jiaqi (Kiki), Chen Lin (Lynn) and Zhang Yuge (Tako). They were trained by an international team of professionals, including special training in South Korea along with other K-pop trainees, absorbing and learning from the Korean idol system. 7Senses are known for their bold incorporation of modern popular music into traditional Chinese music, making them stand out among other contemporary Asian-pop groups. The number 7 stands for perfection, luck and infinite possibilities on stage.

It was only after their third debut in 2017 when 7Sense gained popularity outside of mainland China. They started their first reality show/documentary titled "Lucky Seven Baby" on May 2, 2017.[5] The second season[6] released on December 18, 2017. Season three[7] was released on December 20, 2018 and the fourth season was released on November 8, 2019.[8][9]
